Scallopini Milanese with purple potatoes and braised carrots

Found some very nice looking veal cutlets at the supermarket today. This Italian classic gets a nice twist when mixing finely chopped sage and lemon zest into the breadcrumbs. The key to this dish is that the meat needs to be cut (or pounded) very thin.

I had lunch at an Italian restaurant  the other day. Nice little pasta, nothing to complain about. The problem was rather at the table next to me. Someone ordered a Chicken Milanese that looked so good, that I had trouble concentrating on my own food.

Grilled lambchops with roasted potatoes and arugula-mint pesto

This afternoon I walked into our local supermarket to buy a piece of fish and a salad. I didn’t even make it to the seafood counter. When I saw these beautiful lambchops in the meat department it was all over. Change of plans. Picked up some small potatoes, arugula and mint as well. Dinner was delicious!
